HBO-Ballers

With temperatures rising and beach days becoming a common occurrence, the need to binge watch your favorite HBO shows doesn’t stop for summer fun. The month of July brings the premiere of two new series and the return of a fan favorite, along with a diverse offering of movies.

The creators of Eastbound and Down are back again, this time in the setting of a high school, with Vice Principals. The new series stars Danny McBride and Walton Goggins. The other new series debuting is The Night Of, which is an eight-part limited series that explores the moving parts of a high profile murder in the political sphere. Returning for its sophomore season is Ballers; it stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and focuses on the ostentatious¬†lifestyle of an NFL financial manager in sunny Miami.

On the movie side of things, some of the notable new additions for July include Straight Outta Compton, Suffragette, Our Brand Is Crisis and Black Mass. Although the month is rich in additions, it’ll also lose many notable movies like The Divergent Series: Insurgent, My Big Fat Greek Wedding¬†and Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street; so check them out before they disappear.
