iPhone 7 Plus: This Chinese knockoff still looks pretty damn good

No, that isn’t the iPhone 7 Plus, but we still think it looks great. A new Chinese knockoff that was built based on information from recent leaks is making the rounds online, and potentially giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect from Apple this fall.

The rose gold device features a pretty convincing Apple logo and a dual rear lens camera. As expected, the antenna bands have also been pushed to the edges for a cleaner look. However, the legal text at the bottom of the device clearly states that this fake iPhone was designed in Taiwan and made in China.

This isn’t the first time a Chinese manufacturer has pushed out an iPhone copycat even before the actual device hits the market. It’s actually rather common for dummy units and knock-offs to appear and, sometimes, they’re used for case-makers to develop accessories ahead of time. The real iPhone 7 is expected in September.
