SanDisk’s wild new iPhone case doubles as storage

by Todd Haselton | June 23, 2016June 23, 2016 1:00 pm PDT

Now this is unique. SanDisk recently unveiled a new case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s that actually doubles as storage. No need to add in any funky dongles just to make sure you have more room on your 16GB iPhone 6s (I told you not to buy one, remember?), and you get the benefit of added protection.

The SanDisk iXPAND Memory Case looks like a relatively simple bumper case with a bit of a chin and a small strip across the back. Drop your iPhone onto the Lightning port on the bottom, and you’ll boost your storage by 32GB ($60), 64GB ($100) or 128GB ($130). That’s a hair on the expensive side, but extra storage can be invaluable for folks with full hard drives who can’t snap new photos, install additional apps or download any new music.

SanDisk’s software can be set to automatically back up your camera roll, and all of your files can be stored behind a password, too. If you want even more power, you can opt for a¬†$40¬†battery accessory that adds an additional 1900mAh of juice.

The cases are available in red, grey, blue and teal. Hit the source for more information.
