Destiny for PC is still on the table, according to Bungie

Recently, Bungie announced that all future content updates for Destiny will arrive on the current generation of consoles only. That is, DLC will skip the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game while the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions will roll on in full support.

That’s not all the platform discussion the company has been up to, either. They briefly acknowledged the potential for a PC version of Destiny in a recent interview with Gamespot. Here’s what Bungie Director Christopher Barrett said when asked about bring the game to PC gamers.

“No updates on that today, but we’re always looking at what platforms make sense for Destiny.”

I read that as this: we’re willing to follow the money. If Bungie feels that there’s enough of a consumer base on the PC to make up for the porting work to bring the game to the platform, they’ll do it. Let’s not call this confirmed right now, but one has to imagine Bungie is getting a little PC push from Activision as well.

We’ll have more on Destiny as we hear it.
