Looking to jump ahead of the curve and experience whatever Blizzard has on tap for Overwatch before official roll out? You’ll want to sign up to the public tests.

North America is now a Public Test Region, and that means Overwatch players here can participate in patches pre-release and give feedback.

How do you sign up? Blizzard provided concise instructions. Please note, the public test is for PC players only. Here’s how to participate in the public test for Overwatch.

Step 1: Restart the Battle.net desktop app.
Step 2: Navigate to the Overwatch tab on the left-hand menu.
Step 3: Select “PTR: Overwatch” from the REGION/ACCOUNT drop-down menu.
Step 4: Click “Install” to begin the installation process.
Step 5: Once the PTR client is installed and updated, click “Play” to begin!

The PTR version of Overwatch takes a snapshot of your main account and carries over your progression. However, levels, achievements and loot boxes earned while playing in the PTR client will not transfer back to the main game. Even further, “real-money purchases are disabled on the PTR.”

First up? Competitive Play. That’s available for testing in PTR, though it’s required that you be at least level 25 in order to play. Good hunting.
