PlayStation VR demos begin at Best Buy and GameStop

This fall, Sony’s entrant into the virtual reality space will officially hit stores alongside several games designed for the new headset. Not yet sold on the prospect of console VR? Sony will let you try it out before you buy.

Sony this week announced it will have PS VR demos at more than 30 Best Buy and GameStop locations today and tomorrow, with that number ballooning to about 300 locations across the U.S. and Canada beginning June 24. Sony has set up a website that makes it easy to find a store demoing PS VR near you.

Below is the list of cities the demos will be set up today and tomorrow:

  • Chicago, IL
  • Cincinnati, OH
  • Cleveland, OH
  • Columbia, SC
  • Columbus, OH
  • Dallas, TX
  • Denver, CO
  • Detroit, MI
  • Fayetteville, AR
  • Ft. Lauderdale, FL
  • Grand Rapids, MI
  • Hartford, CT
  • Houston, TX
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • Milwaukee, WI
  • Minneapolis, MN
  • New York, NY
  • San Francisco, CA
  • Tampa, FL
  • Toledo, OH
  • Washington, D.C.
  • West Palm Beach, FL

Sony said it plans on showing PlayStation VR World, EVE: Valkyrie, Headmaster, Battlezone, and SUPERHYPERCUBE, with more games being added leading up to the headset’s release on Oct. 13 for $399.

If you don’t care to try PlayStation VR before you buy, pre-orders are currently open.
