Lenovo unveiled a bunch of exciting Moto Mod accessories last week when the Moto Z and Moto Z Force were announced, but one rumored attachment was a no show. Hasselblad’s rumored camera Moto Mod is still a mystery, but it could get an official announcement at an event scheduled by the Swedish company for next week.
The company recently confirmed plans for a big event on Wednesday, June 23 where it promises to reveal “a game changer in the world of photography.” It’s possible that could mean a standalone camera designed to compete with Leica and other high-end models. However, the timing is enough to suggest we could see a Moto Mod unveiled at the event too, even if it’s not the focus.
We don’t know much about Hasselblad’s rumored Moto Mod. Based on the original leaked image it appears to feature a built-in shutter button, a physical zoom and a big flash module. The price is a mystery too. Lenovo’s other Moto Mods apparently cost as much as $299, though hopefully Hasselblad’s won’t be quite so expensive.
We’ll keep an eye out for any more news on the camera Moto Mod and any others that might be coming down the pipeline so check back soon. You can also take a look at the current Moto Mod lineup in our hands-on gallery below.
