LeEco’s new flagship phone said to get a ludicrous 8GB of RAM

LeEco (formerly known as LeTV) hasn’t been in the smartphone market for very long, but it’s been pushing the limits of mobile hardware with every new device. Now it looks like the Chinese company is at it again with a new flagship phone said to pack an insane 8GB of RAM along with plenty of other cutting edge specs.

At least that’s the scuttlebutt currently floating around the internet, according to GizChina. The unnamed device could sport a Snapdragon 821 (also rumored to power the Asus ZenFone 3 and future Nexus phones), along with a powerful 25-megapixel camera. Finally, it appears to sport a fingerprint scanner in back and apparently costs just 3000 yuan (roughly $455).

Leaked renders of LeEco’s smartphone show a slim metal slate with chamfered edges and a slight curve around the corners. It’s pictured in blue, red and silver with white bezels in front. The company’s “Le” logo is clearly visible near the bottom of the rear panel.

It’s possible some or even all of this info could be wrong, so you shouldn’t get your hopes up for the RAM-packed monster phone just yet. The entire thing seems a little far-fetched, but LeEco does have a history of going above and beyond so who knows.
