Dragon Quest VII releasing on Sept. 16, gets whimsical new E3 2016 trailer

The wait is almost over, my friends! Nintendo has confirmed that Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past will be released on Sept. 16 for the Nintendo 3DS.

Yes, Dragon Quest VII actually showed up at E3 this year with Nintendo finally throwing its weight behind the long-lost game. After years of getting excited just to be let down, this feeling of elation is something I’d like to ride all the way into September. Thank you Nintendo and Square Enix, you’ve made my day.

Now the big problem is wondering if I’ll be able to make a big enough dent in it before Final Fantasy XV comes out on Sept. 30. Getting both a Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy game in the same month equals a lot of fun, but it also make Ron a very busy boy.

Watch the trailer, get excited. This is one of video gaming’s longest running franchises and continues to be developed by the same people who made it into an empire back in the 80s. You’re still watching history unfold right before your very eyes!
