iPhone 7 concept in “deep blue” hue leaves us drooling for more

Rumor has it the iPhone 7 will come in a new “deep blue” design that could replace the old space gray option. We weren’t sure what to think when the news first surfaced last week, but these concept designs have us convinced the blue iPhone will be a real stunner.

The renders, which come courtesy of concept design master Martin Hajek, show deep blue versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in close detail. Overall, the dark color scheme looks great, and I really like how the Apple logo and antenna bands match it with an even darker shade of blue.

Before you get too excited about the deep blue iPhone 7, remember this is still just a rumor. There’s no guarantee Apple will actually announce a new color option for the upcoming phone. The company has made a show of announcing new color options in the past, mostly recently with the rose gold option, so we’re not ruling it out either.

The iPhone 7 is also expected to offer a new A10 processor, 2GB of RAM and at least 32GB of storage (goodbye terrible 16GB option). The iPhone 7 Plus could add a dual rear camera and a Smart Connector port, along with 3GB of RAM. We won’t know for sure until the new phones are announced later this year, though it’s possible Apple could offer a few hints today at WWDC 2016.
