Another year, another heartfelt teardrop for Jade and Peyj. The Beyond Good & Evil duo has been missing in action year after year ever since their sequel was first announced back in 2008, and Ubisoft’s E3 2016 press conference proved to be no different.
Our cliffhanger ending continues into another very long year with no resolution to their intergalactic story.
However, at least the fans are being heard on the highest of levels. When pressed for progress on the game, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated during a livestream event that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is “still on the way.”
“It’s something that at one point you will see, yes.”
Apparently, creator and director Michel Ancel is the key part of the hold-up, currently splitting his time between both this title and his other game, WiLD.
“It’s difficult to say. Michel [Ancel] is working on it, but he’s doing two games at the same time—he’s doing WiLD at the same time—so it’s coming along, but he has to spend more time on it so we can see it faster.”
Whatever it takes. Just, someone please get these two out of the desert and back to adventuring! I need closure!
