Watch Dogs 2 officially revealed with new trailers and release date

Ubisoft took the wraps off of Watch Dogs 2 officially today with a livestream. During the stream, the company showed off a bunch of different individual trailers. You can watch the full thing above, or specific samples below. The full trailer certainly shows off more, but it’s nearly 20 minutes long.

The recent leaks were right. Watch Dogs 2 takes place in San Francisco, it features the hero we’ve seen in leaked imagery and it’s due out this November.

You’ll play as Marcus Holloway, and it looks like you join up with Dedsec in order to hack San Francisco’s ctOS 2.0. The developers promise more toys, the ability to hack literally everyone in the city and a chance to hook almost all electronics.

These are company-made hype clips, so of course they’ll feature developers extremely excited about their project. I will say, though, that Ubisoft seems big on Watch Dogs 2. We could potentially be looking at a big quality gap between it and its predecessor, sort of like how Assassin’s Creed II was a ton better than Assassin’s Creed.

We’ll know soon enough. Watch Dogs 2 will release on November 15, 2016, barring any delays. We’ll also see the game next week at E3. Stay tuned.
