Major Pebble Time update includes Weather app, health improvements

Pebble on Wednesday announced a major new Pebble Time firmware release (version 3.13) that provides several enhancements, primarily focused around weather and health tracking information.

Pebble firmware 3.13 includes additional changes to Health, which was also a focus of the last big update to the company’s smartwatches. You’ll now see mobile graphs with the ability to see your step progress over 24 hours. Additionally, Pebble says it improved the sleep tracking function so that it now accounts “for movements made while sleeping,” which should give you more accurate data on how well you snoozed.

Pebble firmware 3.13 also adds a new dedicated Weather app, the company said, so you can always keep an eye on the temperature and the forecast, including the high and low temperatures for the day. Weather is accessible right from the apps tab on your Pebble, the company said, and pulls data from The Weather Channel, which should keep things nice and accurate (as accurate as they can be, right?)

The update is available for the Pebble Time, Time Steel and Time Round now.
