Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness battle system explained in new footage

When fans of the Star Ocean franchise talk about the title, the ever-evolving battle system is the first topic that they gush about. tri-Ace’s franchise is known as a pioneer in busting down the boundaries between RPG and action game, applying elements of both genres long before the hits of today.

With those boundaries more cloudy than ever, though, what can Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness do to stand out in a world dominated by the likes of Dark Souls, Mass Effect, and Fallout? A recent video from PlayStation Underground dives into the game’s battle system in an effort to find out.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness launches on June 28 for the PlayStation 4.
