Amazon on Thursday introduced a new version of the Fire HD 10, its 10.1-inch tablet. The new model features an all-metal aluminum enclosure for the exact same price as its existing black color option. Yeah, you’d be crazy not to just buy this option instead of the plastic one. It also ships with more storage if you want to pay for it; Amazon is outfitting the aluminum Fire HD 10 with either 16GB, 32GB or a new 64GB option (priced at $289.99). The tablet starts at $229.99.
The rest of the Amazon Fire HD 10 remains the same, so you’re getting a 10.1-inch HD screen, a microSD card slot for boosting the storage, a quad-core processor, a thin-and light design measuring just 7.7mm thick and more. I own the most affordable Fire tablet, which is often available for under $50, and I really dig it, so add in a larger display, a much more premium metal body and better components, and you have a pretty solid tablet.
