Resident Evil 5, that one that came out between the series high-point and the series low-point, is due for another re-release in the coming month. Capcom has confirmed that it will be released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 28.
The new version will be released with a resolution boost taking it up to 1080p and a better frame rate. The release will come out with each of the DLC packs, “Lost in Nightmares” and “Desperate Escape,” and “The Mercenaries United” multiplayer mode will also be included with all characters unlocked.
Resident Evil 5 is a solid game, if I remember right, made all the better for its balance and excellent co-op mode. It wasn’t as groundbreaking as fans were hoping for following in Resident Evil 4’s heavy footsteps, but it could have been a lot worse as well. It’s one worth revisiting for the improvements, especially if you have friends.
