ZTE Axon 7 price revealed for U.S. and Europe

ZTE unveiled the impressive new Axon 7 smartphone on Thursday, but the company was still a little foggy on launch details for the U.S. and other markets outside of China. Now we may be ready to fill in some of those blanks, at least when it comes to the price.

GizChina reports that the Axon 7 will start at $449 in the U.S. and €409 in Europe. That seems to cover the cheapest version of ZTE’s flagship phones, suggesting that premium variants could easily push the price past $500.

The baseline Axon 7 is still a beast, though, packing powerful specs and the same sleek design. The cheaper version will offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, along with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a 3,140mAh battery, a Snapdragon 820 processor, a 20-megapixel rear camera, a fingerprint scanner and surround sound front-facing speakers. ZTE’s also offering a second version with more RAM and storage, along with a premium model with a pressure-sensitive display.

ZTE still hasn’t said when the Axon 7 will actually be available in the U.S., but it should be launching soon. We’ve reached out the company to confirm the $449 starting price and we’ll update this post if we get a response.
