The Order: 1886’s dev is set to reveal a new game next week

Ready at Dawn, the developer behind the lushly detailed (but pretty boring) action game The Order: 1886, is set to reveal a new game next week.

The news comes via a GameStop financial call. GameStop has gotten into game publishing as a way of diversifying their revenue streams, and Ready at Dawn was in the list of developers they’d be working with.

GameStop Chief Operating Officer Tony Bartel made the announcement. The other game currently under development for publishing by GameStop is with Insomniac, the team behind games like Sunset Overdrive and Jak and Daxter. They’re producing a 2D exploration game called Song of the Deep, which seems much smaller in scale than their previous productions. It seems likely that Ready at Dawn will be doing something similarly focused.

Aside from that contextual speculation though, we know nothing about the game. We’re looking forward to seeing what they have planned.
