The Witcher 3‘s Blood and Wine is almost here, and we have one last trailer to prep us.
Everything about this trailer seems to show how much different the team is trying to make Blood and Wine from everything that came before it. Witcher 3, while absolutely gorgeous, was decidedly autumn-colored. It was a world in a state of perpetual decay. Toussaint, the new kingdom in which this expansion takes place, is an assault on the eyes by comparison, and the trailer is bursting with color.
Even the music is different. The trailers for The Witcher 3 thus far have depended mostly on the game’s excellent soundtrack, but this trailer has some butt-rockin’ metal music to accompany the visuals. While we’re not suddenly going to get a heavy metal soundtrack for the game, it is worth mentioning that the expansion does feature a new soundtrack.
If you’re one of the gamers that didn’t like the combat, you’re probably still out of luck, but if you’re looking for a different take on fantasy it looks like The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, set to hit PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One next week, will get you there.
