Jaybird finally launched Freedom on Monday after revealing the new earbuds earlier this year. The Bluetooth buds feature a smaller design with high-quality sound, impressive battery life, and some cool new software features for $200.
Jaybird clearly put a ton of work into the design for its Freedom earbuds. They feature a sleek metal build that the company claims is the smallest on the market for wireless buds. They come in carbon, gold, ocean or blaze color options with a handful of different tips in silicon and foam, ear fins for extra grip, and a special charging clip.
The extra battery attaches easily to the back of the control panel. It adds four hours of life on top of the four-hour battery pack that comes built in. Jaybird also included quick charge capabilities, and says you can add an hour of play time with 20 minutes of charging.
On the software side, Jaybird is introducing MySound, a special app that lets you fine-tune your audio experience. You can create a custom equalizer that your Freedom buds will remember no matter what device they’re paired with. The company even got famous athletes and artists to create EQ settings you can try out in the MySound app.
There’s also a Multipoint feature that lets you pair your earbuds with two devices at once, making it possible to play music on your computer but still answer incoming calls from your phone. Finally, Share Me lets you sync two pairs of Freedom earbuds to the same gadget so you can listen to music with a friend.
Jaybird Freedom is available now from the company’s website. Hit the source link to order a pair for yourselves, or check out the video below for more info.
