Looks like the iPad Pro 9.7 “Error 56” bug was a pretty big deal. Apple has reportedly pulled the iOS 9.3.2 update for the iPad Pro 9.7 following complaints that the software was bricking some iPads. MacRumors said the most recent version is now simply iOS 9.3.1 for those tablets.

Apple isn’t just ignoring the problem. MacRumors said that the company is replacing iPad Pro 9.7 units for folks who are affected by the bug that leaves their iPads stuck asking to be plugged into iTunes. Your best bet, if this has happened to you, is probably to reach out to Apple Support or to schedule an appointment at your local Genius Bar to get things fixed.

No word if or when a new version of iOS 9.3.2 is going to hit the iPad Pro 9.7 anytime soon.

Update: An Apple spokesperson provided the following statement, which was also issued when the bug was first reported on Thursday. The company did not yet confirm it’s replacing units. “We’re working on a fix for an issue impacting a small number of iPad units that are receiving an error when trying to update the software. We’ll issue an update as quickly as possible”
