Apple TV has mainly been the domain of established media brands, and not the home of upstart, one off, promotional channels. Callaway Golf has changed all of that with the launch of its new channel.
Callaway Golf has followed up its ‘first of its kind’ Roku channel with a channel for the Apple TV. This marks the first app from a golf manufacturer to make its way there, and the company doesn’t seem to be skimping on the content. Amongst the features you can expect to find in the app:
- 30 Seconds to Better (instructional series)
- Callaway Live (regular live show broadcast from Callaway HQ)
- Featured Products
- How to Play it (instructional series)
- The Fun Stuff (partner content — Dude Perfect, VICE Sports, Geoff Shackelford, Paige Spiranac, Bryan Bros)
- Wedgeducation w/ Tom Watson (short game instructional series)
“Our content distribution system is built on purposeful and constant engagement within golfers’ natural consumption activity, and this now includes streaming content in their homes,” said Scott Goryl, Director, Global Communications. “Engaging our audience anytime, anywhere is part of the overall content strategy; and we won’t stop here.”
