A leaked press photo of the upcoming OnePlus 3 has revealed its final design for the first time. The device has a curved metal unibody that’s a massive step up from its predecessors, with integrated antenna bands, and a 2.5D curved glass front.
We’ve already seen leaked photos of the OnePlus 3, but it’s thought the handset depicted in those was a prototype, which is why it wasn’t carrying any OnePlus logos. The handset seen in the image above is much more polished, like a true Android flagship.
It kind of looks like a cross between an iPhone 6s Plus and an HTC One device. It has a metal back with subtle curves, carefully machines holes for its speaker grille and USB-C port, and a fingerprint scanner just like its predecessor.
According to the ever-reliable Evan Blass (@evleaks) who posted this photo to Twitter, the OnePlus 3 also has an AMOLED display like the OnePlus X, and it’s covered in 2.5 curved glass. It’s also expected to carry a 3,000mAh battery, down from 3,100mAh in the OnePlus 2.
Inside the OnePlus 3, we’re likely to see a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of internal storage. It’s unclear what kind of camera the handset will be packing at this point, or whether its display will be upgraded from 1080p to Quad HD.
OnePlus is expected to make the OnePlus 3 official in the coming months. You’ll probably need an invite to buy one again, but we’re keeping out fingers crossed for open sales from day one.
