Update: Call of Duty: Black Ops is indeed now available on Xbox One backward compatibility, as confirmed by this Tweet:

The original story follows below:

It looks like someone at the Xbox LIVE factory flipped a switch a little too soon. One of the “advertisement” blocks on the Xbox 360’s dashboard reveals that Call of Duty: Black Ops will soon be playable on the Xbox One.

The folks at Eurogamer spotted the leak, and they even posted this picture for the world to see… complete with a thumb of approval.

Black Ops Xbox One BC Leak

Black Ops is not playable on the Xbox One yet, but this leak suggests that could change quickly.

Aside from the early Modern Warfare titles and, depending on who talk to, World at WarBlack Ops is absolutely a fan-favorite for both its campaign and multiplayer components.

Will you fire this one up on your Xbox One once it moves from leak to official?
