WhatsApp video calling appears, quickly vanishes

WhatsApp, one of the most popular chat applications in the world, may soon deliver video calling. Users who had the WhatsApp for Android beta app installed recently noticed an option to place a video call. It didn’t work and was removed before long, but suggests that it’s not only on WhatsApp’s mind, but already in development.

The function was first reported by AndroidAuthority, which published images from the Android beta. And if you’re on an iPhone, don’t fret, we already know that WhatsApp has been developing the function for iOS, too.

We don’t know when this is coming, but it’s definitely going to be welcome, especially by millions of customers who prefer WhatsApp to other applications.
