iPhone 7 concept with wraparound display is way too good to be true

The iPhone 7 is just a few months away and chances are the device will look pretty similar to last year’s model. Thankfully, that didn’t stop DBS Videography from creating an incredible new iPhone 7 concept video with a gorgeous wraparound display.

The concept imagines an edge-to-edge 4K display that turns the left and right sides of the iPhone 7 into small touchscreen panels. That makes it possible to check notifications without using the main screen. You can even move the virtual volume and power buttons wherever you want, and DBS includes a physical slider for locking the side screens when you’re holding the phone.

The video also offers some more realistic predictions. This iPhone 7 comes in gold, silver and rose gold with a pair of rear cameras. It also sports a sapphire glass display, which Apple tried to pull off in the past but ended up abandoning.

Finally, DBS suggests some possible specs, packing this imaginary iPhone 7 full of powerful hardware. That includes a 5,000mAh battery, a pair of 24-megapixel cameras in back, a 16-megapixels shooter in front, 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB/256/512GB storage options and iOS 10. It also comes in 5-inch and 5.5-inch display options.

That all sounds great, but it’s unlikely Apple will take much of a leap with this year’s iPhone. However, the company is rumored to have a totally new bezel-free smartphone in the works for 2017 so there’s still hope for something exciting down the road.

Thanks Raj!
