Opera launches free unlimited VPN solution for iOS

Opera recently introduced a free VPN service into its desktop browser and, on Monday, introduced a new free VPN application for iOS.

It’s called Opera VPN and allows you to connect through five different regions that are hosted by SurfEasy, including Canada, Germany, Singapore, The Netherlands and the United States. Unlike other free solutions, Opera says that Opera VPN doesn’t have a cap on data, which means you can continue using it no matter what you’re doing in the background.

That’s important, too, because using a VPN is one of the safer ways to surf the Internet. But, if you have a data cap, streaming music or video can quickly eat up how much data you’re able to use with a VPN before you need to pay more. Opera VPN¬†doesn’t do that, plus, Opera says it will also automatically remove tracking cookies and other annoyances from sites you visit.

Opera VPN is available in the iTunes App Store now.
