Moto X4 Shattershield display appears in the wild – Get ready for a super-strong Moto X

The Moto leaks just keep on keepin’ on. Following a couple of revealing Moto X4 images that were published this morning (which we’ve also included in the gallery above), we now have an image of the alleged front panel for the Moto X4. HellomotoHK published the photo you see above on Google+, revealing some important information on the part.

HellomotoHK said that the AMOLED display is protected by Motorola’s ShatterShield technology, which made its debut on Verizon’s DROID Turbo 2. It’s actually very good at resisting damage from drops, scratches and scuffs, and we’re curious if the image above suggests that we’ll see a second-generation ShatterShield in the Moto X4, or if it will be the same as last year.

You’ll also note that the screen seems to line up with other images we’ve seen of the still-rumored smartphone. There’s a fingerprint reader on the bottom of the display with the a square shape, and the rounded edges, camera and sensor cut-outs match other leaks. If this part is legitimate, and we think it is, then expect Motorola to tout the ruggedness of the Moto X4 smartphone whenever it makes its debut.
