Bloodborne’s environments remade in Unreal 4 by DICE employee for fun

We see a lot of environment and game remakes done up with the Unreal Engine. Creators come up with fancy graphics versions of Mario and Zelda, and we all sort of squirm around asking, “what if?”

Bloodborne remade in Unreal Engine 4, though? I don’t know, it just sort of makes sense. Simon Barle, Environment Artist at DICE, used his free time to remake the Hunter’s Dream environment from Bloodborne using UE4.

The result is actually fantastic. You can flip through screenshots from it in the gallery above, or dive into the video below to see the environment in motion.

I’m more partial to this than I am the likes of Zelda and Mario done up in Unreal. This seems natural while that just seems like fans goofing around… not that there’s anything wrong with that, the results just rarely appeal to my tastes. This, however, does.

Kudos to Barle, this fan creation is pretty neat.
