We’ve already seen plenty of leaked pictures of the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, but the internal hardware is still a big mystery. Now we’re learning a bit more about what’s inside the new phones thanks to recent shipping logs from Indian cargo tracking site Zauba.
The listings, which all refer to the new Moto G by its codename “Athene,” reveal a handful of specs for both rumored models. The standard Moto G4 appears to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera while the Moto G4 Plus may offer a 16-megapixel primary shooter with laser auto-focus. Both models also pack a 5-megapixel camera in front.
The Moto G4 gets 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The Moto G4 Plus gets an upgrade here as well, offering 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Additionally, it looks like both phones will offer NFC.
We’re also expecting both models to come equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p display and an octa-core processor. The Moto G4 Plus may even add a fingerprint reader in front built-into the physical home button.
Lenovo looks set to unveil the new Moto G lineup later this month, with events in India and Mexico booked for May 17. As for the new Moto X, we may have to wait a bit longer to see the latest version of the flagship smartphone.
