Last we heard, HTC’s long-rumored smartwatch was set to arrive in April 2016. But now that we’re a few days into May, it turns out the company may wait at least another month before releasing its mythic wearable device.

The news comes from EvanBlass, who was also the source for that original April launch rumor. His latest leak suggests the device could be facing some internal delays. HTC has never publicly promised to launch a full-fledged smartwatch, but it has seemed inevitable for a few years, especially since all of the company’s major competitors have launched their own wearables.
The HTC smartwatch is generally expected to run Android Wear. We also expect a premium design based on the company’s history. Then again, the Taiwanese firm could launch a sportier smartwatch instead, possibly through its partnership with Under Armour.
