Dishonored 2, first shown off at last year’s E3, now has a release date, and it’s not too far off – November 11.
Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios will be showing off gameplay at E3 this year on June 12. We can also look forward to some features about the title popping up in this month’s Game Informer.
The original Dishonored was an easy fan favorite, combining meaningful choice that wove into everything, even the boss fights, with some gorgeous art and a unique setting. The unveiling of the sequel at E3 2015 surprised us by throwing Emily Kaldwin, the original game’s damsel in distress, into the fray as another playable character with her own powerset.
The second story picks up 15 years after the first with Emily having been ousted as Empress by what’s been described an “otherworldy usurper.” Emily and Corvo Attano, the protagonist from the original, work to reclaim Emily’s throne. As the player, you can play as one or the other, in addition to making the many choices the game provides.
We’re looking forward to seeing how the series has progressed since the original’s 2012 release when they show the game off at E3 this summer.
Dishonored 2 hits PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 11, 2016.
