Mighty No. 9 has gone gold, and the game has an official release date. The console and PC versions of the title will hit North America and Asia on June 21, 2016, and they will release worldwide on June 24, 2016.
The Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita versions will “follow at a later point.”
The word comes from Keiji Inafune in a letter written to “backers and fans.” In that letter, Inafune announced the gold status of the game and says that the team is “in the last final stages of being able to deliver it into your hands.” He goes on to really try and cement things by saying “the release date we are announcing is set in stone and there will be no further delays for the game.”
Mighty No. 9 was successfully funded on Kickstarter in early September of 2013. It’s been delayed several times over the course of its development. This one, thanks to the gold status, seems like a legit date.
