Activision’s worst kept secret over the past week has seen another lapse in information. The image of an ad was submitted to the Infinite Warfare subreddit, and it touts news regarding what, exactly, the rumored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remaster will offer.
According to the ad, Modern Warfare Remastered is a part of the Legacy Edition of the also leaked Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The Legacy Edition is priced at $109.99. It will offer both the game’s campaign and 10 of its multiplayer maps, remastered.
While the image does look official, remember that none of this has been confirmed by Activision. I’ll offer that I think it’s fishy that the date is in European format, the standard edition is $20 higher than normal and, in spite of that date format, the ratings board logo used is the US-based ESRB instead of the PAL board. Just pointing out some flies in the ointment, don’t mind me.
The closest we’ve come to a confirmation, which is pretty darn official if you ask me, is when the Call of Duty twitter account used a poop emoji to joke with a fan about the legitimacy of the remaster. Really, read that story, it’s great.
Rumors suggest that Activision will reveal Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered next Tuesday, May 3. We’ll have more on these titles as it comes.
