Should Apple make these 5 products? Pundit says yes

Apple hit a bit of sales slump yesterday. iPhone sales were down year-over-year for the first time in history, which has analysts and pundits alike wondering what the company should do next. Does it need a new product that’s going to be as successful as the iPod, iPad and iPhone are? Tom’s Guide‘s Mark Spoonauer has a list of products he thinks Apple should make.

Spoonauer’s list includes products like a gaming Mac capable of competing with the Razer Blade and other thin-and-light products; an Amazon Echo-style device that Spoonauer believes could ultimately spell the death of the Amazon Echo altogether; an Apple antivirus software suite; a simpler wearable device in the form of the “Apple Fit” that would be more affordable than the Apple Watch; and, finally, the long-rumored Apple TV set, an actual television.

I agree Apple needs something new, and I have argued as such both on CNBC yesterday and in recent editorials. I’d love to see an Apple version of the Amazon Echo but also want to see Apple surprise us with something totally new. What do you think of Spoonauer’s list?
