Xiaomi is already teasing its next big smartphone. The Mi Max recently made an appearance on the company’s English-language forum, offering a brief look at the upcoming device.
The official teaser doesn’t reveal much. We can see the top left corner of the alleged Mi Max poking out of someone’s pants pocket, showing curved edges, thin bezels and a front-facing camera. The post also notes that this is a “brand new product line,” adding that the screen won’t come in at 5 inches, 5.15 inches, 5.5 inches or 7.9 inches.
Based on earlier leaks, the Mi Max may end up sporting a 6.4-inch Quad HD display. It will reportedly offer a Snapdragon 820 chip or Xiaomi’s first homemade processor, along with a fingerprint reader.
Beyond its rumored phablet, Xiaomi is also preparing to launch a new wearable gadget. CEO Lei Jun revealed the upcoming Mi Band 2 over the weekend using the company’s Mi Live streaming app. The refreshed fitness tracker appears to sport a new design with a big display in front.
We don’t know when Xiaomi will unveil these new products, and it could be any day know. It’s also unclear if any of the company’s new gadgets will be available in the U.S., but we should know soon enough.
