Of all the places you’d expect in-depth game criticism from, Fox News isn’t one of them. But that’s exactly what happened in a recent edition of the Fox News show RedEye.
Fox host Andy Levy was reading a recently compiled list of core skills teenagers need to have when they leave high school but are often lacking in the modern era. Stuff like managing money and dealing with interpersonal problems made the official list, but Levy had one more to add from his own repertoire:
“Be able to level up your character in The Division, despite the way Massive nerfed the crafting system and allows packs of super-geared Rogues to gank you in the Dark Zone – thanks a lot, jerks.”
Yeah, you heard him right.
I’m not suggesting that Fox, for all its divisiveness, is going to be your next big source of game news and opinions, but Andy Levy is clearly a gamer, and it’s always cool to see someone let their inner gamer out on TV like that. And I mean, he’s not wrong. Ubisoft and Massive need to work on balancing that crafting system.
