Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, EA’s open-world parkour platformer, has been delayed until June 7. This is the second time the game has been delayed; it was originally supposed to launch in February before being pushed back to the end of May.
Now, the developer is promising a launch a little later than expected, saying it wanted to put the final touches on Social Play features, which is an asynchronous multiplayer experience that has an effect on other players’ games.
“We’re confident that these extra two weeks will make sure the game is as amazing as possible for you the players,” said Erik Odeldahl, design director for Catalyst.
Not a huge, horrible, terrible delay, but a delay nonetheless. Hopefully EA can deliver on the date promised.
