PlayStation gamers are about to get a chance at a once Xbox-exclusive title that’s genuinely awesome. Shadow Complex Remastered is coming to the PlayStation 4 on May 3, 2016.

The word comes from Chair Entertainment as they made the announcement on the PlayStation Blog. They offered the debut trailer that you see at the head of this post, as well as general enthusiasm to be finally making the game available to the PlayStation crowd.

Shadow Complex is a 2D game with interesting 3D graphics. It requires the same approach to gameplay folks would find in a Metroid or Castlevania title, something that was a bit less common when it originally launched on the Xbox 360.

Shadow Complex Remastered gives you all of the original game content, updated with graphical enhancements, and additional Master Challenges. We’ve also added some fun surprises like all-new dynamic melee take-downs, so you can feel even more awesome when you’re stealing the bad guys’ tech and using it against them!

Fans are suggesting this could be a PlayStation Plus launch freebie. That’s totally possible. Its May 3 release date is the first Tuesday of the month, and that’s when PlayStation updates its Instant Game Collection roster.

We’ll see…
