Pink Gold Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge announced

Samsung on Wednesday announced a new color of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge – Pink Gold. The new hue will make its debut in South Korea first beginning on April 20 (today), but Samsung promises that it will also sell the new phones in other markets around the world.

Samsung didn’t specifically name the United States and it’s entirely possible we’ll never see the Pink Gold model show up on our store shelves. However, sometimes retailers and carriers like to offer exclusive colors of the phones, particularly as they start to age, helping to draw customers back into stores. That may one day happen with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, though I personally would rather see new exclusive colors, like a dark blue or green hue as we saw with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

“Pink Gold was chosen as it, like the other colors available for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, is a natural color that provides a sense of comfort,” Samsung said of the new color. “These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces.”

Pricing should fall right in line with the other options.
