DJI makes some of the most popular consumer and professional drones around, and now it has a new model to cater to the movie industry. Its latest drone, the Matrice 600, packs in a ton of power and the ability to carry high-end cameras through the air.
The Matrice 600 costs $4,599 and includes six specially-designed DJI batteries. It can stream video at 1080p from up to three miles away and comes with a redesigned controller. It’s also capable of extreme precision at a distance, thanks to three GPS sensors and a trio of inertial measurement units (IMUs).
DJI also revealed a new addition to its popular Ronin series of gimbals for camera stabilization. The Ronin-MX costs $1,599 and supports a variety of popular professional cameras from brands including RED, Sony, Canon, Nikon and Panasonic. It works both in the air and on the ground.
