Earlier this month, we got a first taste of Motorola‘s plans for 2016 when a device called the Moto X3 was spotted in an online shipping database. Now a second Moto device is breaking cover, with a leaked image of what’s allegedly called the “Moto G4 Plus.”

The leak comes from the usually reliable tipster Evan Blass, and as you can see it only reveals what looks like the bottom slice of the phone’s front panel. However, it does clearly show a physical home button. That’s a new addition to the Moto series, and it’s probably safe to assume there’s a fingerprint sensor embedded in the button as well.
We’re not sure what the Plus in the Moto G4 Plus name indicates. It could simply mean a larger display. Then again, it might also offer beefed up specs like the fingerprint reader above, pushing the budget-friendly series into flagship territory.
The new design also suggests that Motorola is veering away from its 2015 design. Last year’s lineup offered a front-facing speaker below the display, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with this new device.
Overall we’re still not really sure what to expected from the Moto series in 2016. The company typically unveils its new devices towards the end of the summer, so it could be a few more months or longer before we know anything for sure
