Bill & Ted 3 is happening; director, script, studio finalized, start date still up in the air

Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K. News surfaced recently that there’s going to be a third Bill & Ted movie, and it’s already well on its way to your eyeballs.

“We’ve been working on it for, like six years,” actor Alex Winter told Forbes in a recent interview. “We’re knee deep in the script, it’s been written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon who wrote the firs two, they are fantastic writers, and the script is great. We have a script, we have a director, we have a studio – we’re just trying to nail down a start date.”

Winter confirmed that it’s very possible we’ll be treated to actors from the original two movies, though declined to confirm anyone who has signed on for the movie. The good news? It’s definitely “an active project” and Winter says he hopes that the team behind the movie will “be shooting it shortly.” There’s just no date set for that, yet.

Not bad, eh, Socrates?
