Disney has been carefully looking at a small group of young actors to take on the Han Solo role for the character’s standalone movie, and Deadline reports there may be a favorite. According to the site, Alden Ehrenreich, who was a standout in Hail, Caesar!, is apparently leading the pack for the coveted role.

It makes sense. Ehrenreich, an up-and-coming young actor, has a swagger and charm necessary for the role, maybe as a result of his Southern California upbringing. If you don’t know his name now, Star Wars fans are going to be intimately acquainted with the actor pretty soon.

Thousands of actors were reportedly considered for the role, including some very big Hollywood names. That’s no surprise considering how colossal the role of Han Solo is, not to mention the film is being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo who directed The Lego Movie.

If indeed Ehrenreich is Disney’s frontrunner, I’m sure we’ll hear an official announcement very soon.
