Swiss Army Man trailer features Daniel Radcliffe as a farting corpse

Swiss Army Man might sound like the title for an upcoming Michael Bay movie or something from David Ayer, but it’s neither; it’s something much, much weirder. Starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliff, the film, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, is about a man who becomes stranded on a deserted island and finds solace in a dead body.

Here’s the actual synopsis:

A hopeless man stranded in the wilderness befriends a dead body and together they go on a surreal journey to get home.

I can’t imagine how audiences are going to respond to this. At a time when people gripe about how tired and boring movies have become, Swiss Army Man takes a weird idea and brings it to unprecedented heights. This is something out of the imagination of a three-year-old, and I suppose that’s what makes it work. It embraces its madness and runs with it.

Supposedly audiences who saw it at Sundance were among one of two camps: either they thought it was terrible, or they thought it was surprisingly poignant.

Check out the trailer to see what makes Swiss Army Man so odd, yet strangely compelling.
