Miitomo is weird. It’s a social network with some Mii stuff mixed in, goofy Miifoto and an absurd community that’s eating it up by the spoonful. So far, Nintendo’s first dip into the smartphone application pool is a success.
It released in countries around the world yesterday, March 31. That came a few weeks after releasing in Japan only. It already has three million users. The word comes from Nintendo of America on Twitter.
#Miitomo has reached 3 million users worldwide! We hope you are enjoying the app with your friends!

Miitomo is sitting on top of the App Store’s Free App charts for iOS devices, ahead of the likes of Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and Snapchat. It’s not charting on Google Play for me yet, though that might be an issue of Google not updating its charts as frequently.
