Miitomo is Nintendo’s first foray into smartphone development. Think of it more like a social network and chatting platform than a game, though it does have some game elements.
You can connect your account in the app to your Nintendo account, if you have one, and you’ll be able to stock up on rewards to actual game purchases and free downloads.
The application was downloaded over one million times in Japan only three days after its release. It features some microtransactions, but they’re only used to score in-game currency for purchasing clothes and accessories for your Mii. I used the app for a couple of weeks after its Japanese release, and I didn’t pay a dime. I don’t think I could have, anyways.
Give it a shot, make some friends and tell us what you think in the comments below.
