Sleep in an underwater Shark Aquarium if you win this Airbnb contest

Yeah, you read that headline correctly. Crazy as it sounds, Airbnb is hosting a contest in which the entrants will have a chance to win two nights living in a shark aquarium. It’s not exactly something I’d try to win – more like something I’d try to avoid in life, but perhaps we have a few masochists in our audience.

You’ll stay in the “Shark Aquarium” in France where you’re provided with an underwater bedroom. “The only thing separating you from your neighbors is the 360-degree transparent wall,” Airbnb says. The space fits two and comes with a single bed, one bathroom, shampoo, breakfast and “essentials” … whatever those are. Here’s a bit more about the experience:

During check-in, you’ll be shown to your bedroom for the night. Our home is your home, so get comfortable, as your host will dive into the tank and formally introduce you to a few of your neighbors for the evening. You’ll enjoy an intimate meal inside our aquarium, with gorgeous tank-side views of your favorite neighbors.

Opened in 1867 and located in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower, the Aquarium de Paris was the first built anywhere in the world. Your submarine bedroom will live on even after you leave, acting as an observatory for our biologists to study the behaviors of these majestic fish.

You can enter to win by submitting a small essay telling Airbnb about yourself, where you’re from and why you want to spend the night with the fishes. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. CET on April 3 and the trip takes place April 11-13. Good luck!
