Kingdom Hearts just had a 14th anniversary, but all we got was a lousy screenshot. Fans of the Disney/Final Fantasy crossover series have been waiting eagerly for news on the upcoming remaster, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue, and, even more so, the long-awaited sequel, Kingdom Hearts III.
However, before we get there, a single screenshots from Square Enix found its way onto the Internet showing off Daybreak Town in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue.

…riveting. This translation comes from Siliconera.
“Today marks the 14th year since the birth of Kingdom Hearts. That would also be the same number of Sora’s age when he first departed on his journey. This is all thanks to all of you fans and your longtime support. Thank you very much. Here is a look at Daybreak Town that is currently in development for Kingdom Hearts II.8. Thank you for your continued Support.”
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue is in development for the PlayStation 4 and is expected to be released in 2016. Along with the previous two remaster bundles, Square Enix is using them to train their younger staff members who were probably only in school uniforms when the first game came out.
After all, 14 years is a long time. Happy Birthday, Kingdom Hearts. Hurry up with some new, real information.
