Fallout 4’s Far Harbor expansion is bigger than Oblivion’s Shivering Isles

Just how big will Fallout 4‘s biggest expansion, Far Harbor, be? Bethesda’s said it’ll be the biggest expansion they’ve ever done, but for players who missed out on the lower, $30 season pass price, and are paying $50 for it, just how big that is might be a concern.

To put a more tangible scale on it, one fan compared it to some of Bethesda’s biggest and smallest content from the previous generation of consoles in a question to Bethesda marketing head Pete Hines:

Speaking to IGNdirector Todd Howard talked about how much content the expansion would feature, saying that the Far Harbor expansion has less to do than Shivering Isles expansion but more than Skyrim‘s Dawnguard expansion. The standalone price for the Far Harbor expansion is right in the middle of those two at $25. He said specifically that it’s the biggest expansion of the first run of DLC, suggesting that we can expect some stuff that’s just as substantial in the next run.

Far Harbor is set to debut in May, while Automatron is already available for download and Wasteland Workshop is due out sometime in April.
